Sexy Scarlett Johansson As Black Widow in The Avengers HD Photos 2012

SCARLETT Johansson is so keen to do a Black Widow movie she is calling on fans for support.

And with the news that Avengers Assemble has smashed box office records in the US – with an opening weekend of £128million – she won’t need superpowers to persuade bosses at Marvel studios.

The Hollywood beauty reprises her Iron Man 2 character Natasha Romanoff, aka Black Widow, in the blockbuster, which has eclipsed previous record holder Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2.

The final Potter film took £105million in its opening weekend in 2011.

Avengers Assemble, which also stars Robert Downey Jr, Chris Hemsworth and MarkRuffalo, stayed at the top of the UK box office for a second weekend and has now scooped a whopping £400 million worldwide.

Now the 27-year-old star is hoping fans can bring her leather-clad character back for her own spin-off.

She said: "I love her origin story. I think it's just such a riveting one. It's just steeped in history and the richness to shoot in Russia, perhaps...

“I hope that the fans' voice is loud enough and they want to see a Widow origin story, I know Marvel would be happy to entertain that. We've spoken a lot about it."

If it means to stunning actress is back in the leather catsuit for a couple of hours, Avengers fans are sure to agree.

Scarlett Johansson was born in New York City to Melanie Sloan (of Polish descent) andKarsten Johansson (of Danish descent). Scarlett showed a passion for working at a young age and played in many plays. She has a sister named Vanessa Johansson, a brother, Adrian, and a twin brother named Hunter Johansson born three minutes after her.

She began her acting career in 1994, starring as "Laura Nelson" in North (1994). In 1998, the acclaimed film The Horse Whisperer (1998) Johansson critical praise and worldwide recognition. After the success of the film she starred in many films, including the acclaimed cult film Ghost World (2001) and then on Lost in Translation (2003) with Bill Murray, when she again stunned critics. Later she appeared in Girl with a Pearl Earring (2003).

In 2003 she was nominated for two Golden Globes, one for drama (Girl with a Pearl Earring (2003)) and one for comedy (Lost in Translation (2003)). She fell from Mission: Impossible III (2006) because of scheduling conflicts. Her next film role was in The Island (2005) along side Ewan McGregor which earned weak reviews American critics.

Then she showed in Woody Allen's Match Point (2005) and was again nominated for a Golden Globe.
